Villas Church is a growing and vibrant community committed to positively impacting our local area. We have an exciting opportunity as we renovate our sanctuary into a contemporary worship center. This renovation will include the installation of a LED wall for worship and media, as well as a two-level sound booth and production/video room. This project provides a fantastic opportunity for media-driven worship leaders to bring their creativity to what promises to be a dynamic and engaging environment.



POSITION OVERVIEW


Villas Church seeks a passionate and creative individual with big energy to join our team as a part-time DIRECTOR OF CREATIVE ARTS & WORSHIP. In this role, you will be pivotal in creating worship environments that inspire believers and draw non-believers to Jesus. The DIRECTOR OF CREATIVE ARTS & WORSHIP will work under the guidance of our Lead Pastor, ensuring alignment with Villas Wesleyan Church's beliefs, values, and mission. We are looking for someone who is dedicated, creative, and committed to promoting a life of discipleship with Jesus Christ.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Given the part-time nature of this position (10 hours weekly), responsibilities will be focused on:

- Sunday Worship Leadership (4 hours)

- Lead worship service(s) to help all people know God and serve others

- Create an engaging worship atmosphere accessible to both regular attendees and those new to church

- Mid-Week Preparation (4 hours)

- Lead mid-week practice to ensure musical excellence

- Plan worship sets that complement the sermon themes provided by the Lead Pastor

- Coordinate with volunteers for audio/visual elements

- Administration & Development (2 hours)

- Oversee scheduling and basic team development

- Maintain worship resources and equipment

- Coordinate with the Lead Pastor on service planning

- Can lead well vocally

- Is energetic and passionate in worship

- Is able to use MultiTracks to fill out the musical experience in worship

- Is articulate - who can feel comfortable on stage to speak between songs, pray, and set up different service elements

- Is creative - who can take the Lead Pastor's "big idea" and plan worship services using experiential elements

- Can effectively manage a focused worship ministry with limited time resources

TERMS OF AGREEMENT


1. This agreement is for a part-time position of 10 hours per week.

2. Annual compensation is $20,000, paid bi-weekly.

3. This position reports directly to the Lead Pastor.

4. Performance reviews will be conducted annually.

5. Either party may terminate this agreement with 30 days written notice.

6. This contract will be reviewed annually.
