connection groups

We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue in our life. Living in community affords us the opportunity to more wholly experience God through close relationships as we play and pray together, as we encourage and help one another, and as we study and live out God’s word together.

At our church, a connection group usually consists of 7-15 attendees in various life stages who meet on a regular basis. This could be in someone's home, at the church, or in a coffee shop. These communities are about establishing relationships that encourage us to grow spiritually, offer mercy towards one another in our time of need, and, as groups, be the hand of justice in our community and the world around us.

Worship arts

The Worships Arts ministry at Villas seeks to use music, media, lights, sound and other forms of creative arts to bring people into the heart of worship. These creative expressions impact and intensify our worship services in order to draw us closer to the presence of God.

Recognizing that God has created his children in distinct and unique ways, with various gifts, talents, and abilities, the Worship Arts Ministry of VWC seeks to include a variety of art forms and textures within the corporate worship experience.

We believe that God is honored when we offer our gifts and talents to him and in an effort to assist the Body of Christ in worshiping him. Whether your gifts are music and movies, painting and production, or carpentry and computers, there is a place for you to serve within the Worship Arts Ministry. Whether you are young, young at heart, or anywhere in between, we want to see artists become an integral part of helping to lead the worship of VWC.

Our ministry exists to

  • Bring glory to God through our sacrifice of praise
  • Lead the church into the presence of God
  • Edify, encourage and inspire the body of Christ
  • Creatively design relevant worship gatherings with a wide rage of creative worship expressions
  • Evangelize our world through worship with the good news of Jesus

Opportunities to serve in the Worship Arts Ministry are available in varying areas. We look forward to involving you in this exciting ministry!
